As a multifunctional food additive (E466), it appears as a white to cream-colored, odorless, tasteless, hygroscopic powder or granules that easily disperses in water to form a transparent colloidal solution. It is widely recognized for its thickening, stabilizing, emulsifying, suspending, film-forming, and water-retention properties.

 

Benefits:
Sodium carboxymethyl cellulose, commonly known as cellulose gum or CMC, is a type of stabilizer and thickener used in ice-cream & beverage to reduce ice melting point. 

 
Application Guide :
Premix the powder with others dry ingredients first like sugar, salt, seasoning powder etc or direct mix with water.
